OK children, someone make this stop. If he pulls off a sale, more power to him. Just be happy to know you are knowledgable enough to know it's not a good deal, lol. This bickering is BS.
Many people are profiteering with the GT350 and GT350R. It's not what he is asking, it's how he is representing the car. He is lying and that is what I take issue with.

I like to disassemble things.
I second the glue sniffing.

I understand your point. At least he now says NO Magnetic Ride Control,
Then again, he's saying that as if it's a good thing.

if it is the same guy that I chatted with, he's had quite a few issues with his car and the dealership that he bought it through.

As I understood it, they "detailed " the car and burnt through the paint, botched the splitter install, and the service department took his car for a joyride to the point that they put it into limp mode. Beyond that, when his car was there for service they let a prospective customer test drive it in hopes of selling an incoming gt350 allocation.

All that and Ford refused to help with the scenario in any way ( Ford did something similar to me.)

I dont fault him for trying to sell the car, but i do fault him for the misinformation.

If the car was priced appropriately, it would be a nice build platform for the aftermarket magneride setup with tuned controller that ridetech will be selling, as well as a procharger or turbo setup, BUT his asking price is a bit "crazy".

all that being said, he also told me that he had received a spot for a GT and had a 50K deposit down on it, after his woes with his gt350, he told me that he asked for his deposit back and wasnt going to proceed with it. Whether there is any truth to that or not, I have no clue, but that's what he told me.

Whether his price is ridiculous or not, it seems his interest in freeing himself of the car was ushered in by his dealer's mishandling of issues and Ford unwillingness to step in, which is eerily similar to my scenario.

I, on the other hand, have chosen to keep my car ( because I love it more than any other option, even at 3x the price) and just deal with paying for repairs out of pocket.

I have, and love my base 2016 Shelby. I'm a fan of Base cars, less things to go wrong IMO.

The Base 2016 is more rare than an R, however I don't have any delusions that it's better than an R. He needs a reality check.

If his wife was giving him grief over a GT350, as he has said many times in his posts. I can't believe that he would put himself in a spot to encounter the "reign of terror" that would be had from his wife by purchasing a $450K GT.

Fact. The guy is clearly a bullshitter, regardless of what happened during his dealer visits. He is misrepresenting the car and lying to potential buyers, I trust nothing he says and IMO he is a fake.

Hahaha! This gets better and better! Now he's got a GT on pre-order?? Come the F on....

Maybe Ford will screw up and put an EcoBoost V12 in it...

When I saw his ad I almost fell off my chair. H*ll, there's a traded in '16 with 1,417 miles and the Tech Package at Keller Bros Ford in Lititz, Pa for $58,990. Grey with black stripes and black roof.

Bang for the bucks, the base Shelby GT350 was the best buy of the year.

Considering it would have the same overheating issues as the Tech, and also didn't have Magneride, I would say the original Track Packs were the "bang for your buck" cars.

Except the Track Packs, Tech Packs, "R" had the huge $10K to $30K ADMIN. which the base GT350 never had. Also the Base was lighter & faster in a straight line.

Cool man, enjoy your 0.1 seconds faster advantage over a 1/4 mile.

100% of the time in the race between a base and a tech/track pack it will come down to the driver.

The base/tech cars should never have existed IMO. They could have easily had the car start at the same base price, but include the coolers and magneride as standard. They just made packages to make more money off it.
