Hey guys,
I was attempting to change my brake pads today and, it being my first time, I stumbled upon something I can't find an answer to so hopefully you can help me out.
When I took out the stock pads, they appear to have 2 shims (see picture below):
Could someone please clarify:
1) What is the left piece for? Do I have to re-use it on the new pads?
2) Does the grease go in between left part and the shim on the pad or on both?
My Hawk pads came with only 1 piece (the one on the right attached to the brake pad) so I wasn't sure.
Thanks
