And, Doggett Ford just pulled a fast one... this OW 2020 R listed on their website at $5k below MSRP is a lie.

I called to get the car but they said, “Oh that price is a typo.” Are they obligated to honor that price?

Let’s make Doggett Ford and their 3-star rating famous!

I would call in a complaint on that, to the state AG office or at least the dealer GM. Someone should loose their job over that obvious deception.
Too bad this is more common than not, otherwise not many people would be left with a job in auto sales !

I have a base GT350 TO allocation in the order banks and it hasn’t hit the line yet. If I were to find a R though, I’d release my MSRP allocation to anyone that wanted it.

i had the same thing happen with a raptor i was looking at last year. contacted the state and BBB. the state got back to me like 2-3 months later and said they could only take action if i had bought it. i see some 350's and 500's with big discounts and im tempted to click the buy it at this price button to see them freak out. i think some are legit mistakes when they apply discounts to their inventory but forget to omit the special stuff.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Those faulty listings on cars dot com and autotrader are rampant throughout all brands and models. These guys know exactly what attracts buyers and don’t care about complaints. The auto sales business is alive and well.

BBB has absolutely no teeth and is mostly a scam. As someone who's been on the opposite end of it, the BBB basically approaches companies and asks for a payoff to "help make these bad reviews go away" - they have no interest in actually helping the customers nor in ensuring that businesses are rated fairly.

Speaking of bait-n-switch! How about a simple insult to the common sensibilities...

It's shocking how many people do not realize that and think it's a do-good government agency or something. BBB runs such a shady racket. I've seen proven scammers with squeaky clean A+ ratings.

I had a dealer do that crap with a GT500 last week, they listed it at MSRP, I had the deal done with the online rep, was ready to book a flight to chicago when the sales manager called and said the price was $15k more. Screw them I bought a new 2019 GT350 $6k under msrp the next day.

Pretty much like the do not call list, waste of time, all of it. Only the cooks have the advantage...

It always amazes me how many businessman think the only way to win is through deception. No core value system.

The worst part about getting a car is dealing with the dealership, I can say that I am just glad that my experience was fairly smooth this time around.

Thats because if you leave a "unfair" negative review the company will take you to court lol.

So, I have been doing a lot of searching today... not soul searching, but R searching and I have came across this price issue on many Ford dealership websites.

Once I told a few of the dealers the discrepancies of their website price and their $10,000++++ ADMs, they gave me the excuse that the Ford website generalizes the Shelby GT350/R as a “Mustang” and blindly applies the discounts non-GT350’s have attached.

After I heard $20k ADMs today from multiple dealer salesmen, that excuse, which probably is a reality, none of it seemed to matter. Lol.
