I've had the Ford Touring exhaust for less than 2 years. Now I have a loud buzzing from inside the left muffler at idle, worse when cold. Anyone know of any muffler surgeons or how I can get just 1 muffler? They don't sell the axle-backs with the black tips anymore, but even if they did, all of the new replacement options are $700+, anyways. Ideas?

You may be able to go to local ford parts dealer and get a part number specific to the muffler. You can also try calling ford performance/racing see if they'll send you one or maybe warranty it.

I didn't even realize there was a warranty. There is. Thanks. It's going to be tricky, though. I didn't have it installed by a dealer or ASE certified tech. I used to be certified, mine expired in 2012, so I did it myself.

That shouldn't matter. Its exhaust not like you can mess up the install. Goodluck with getting it replaced.

The part itself should have a warranty. Something loose inside has nothing to do with the install but something defective internally.

If not then never buy FRRP again. Borla, who makes the damn things, has a lifetime warranty on their branded stuff.

There's one in the classifieds that evidently had the same issue and you can see where he cut it open and welded the rattling baffle.

I may have literally pushed my luck with the supercharger pushing too much air. The before and after decibel increase on the dyno was ridiculous.

Good call. I see that.
