Doesn't happen every time, but I've notice it when I don't let SYNC boot up completely before starting the car.
I am still wondering if SYNC has something to do with it. I turned my volume down during the beeping yesterday and that blip sound did not occur. The sound never happened again since the one occasion.
Oh well, as long as nothing is breaking.

Just had this happen to me last night after driving home from work.

Had to run back out to get some stuff and after just hitting the start button (no clutch in) i heard that weird chime, and there were 4 of them.

Sure enough kicked it in reverse and the weird chime was going on. Turned it off opened the door, got out tried again. Same deal.

Nothing was wrong driving, but I wanted to try something.

So i got in my car, put my seat belt on, got all situated and started the car. No chime at all (does that when seat belt is on). Kicked it in reserve and the normal tone was back.

It happened again later that night because I was tinkering with the scenarios and I did the same thing. Seat belt on and then start the car - it went away as well then.

Would be nice to know what happened.
