There is a distinct loss of headroom in the 2015 as compared to the S197 as I experienced it. I can not sit in the back seat of the 2015 without dropping my head, whereas I can sit in the back of my 2010. The seat width and leg room is comparable to my 2010, but I forsee the back seat in the new car really usuable for people 5'9" and shorter. It really would depend on your torso and overall height, of course. I am 6'2" by the way.

This is definitely a change caused by the fastback roofline in this new car.
as i said - my observations from when i was driving kids to and from school in my S197.

i don't have that responsibility anymore so, they could have left out the back seat all together. God knows, there was never enough room in the back seat of a mustang for the old lady and i to fool around. :D :eyebulge:

Luckily I'm married so I don't have to worry about fooling around. :p

I sat in the back of a 2015 last week. First I adjusted the drivers seat to my liking then I moved to the back. I had a good amount of leg room, about a hands length of clearance between my knees and the seat back. It was the head room that I can see being a problem. When I adjusted myself in the seat I actually hit my head. All things considered I wouldn't say I was uncomfortable. The non fun sized crowd my have a different experience. I'm tipping the scales at 5'6" 155 pounds. Anyhow, its a Mustang the back seat is supposed to be small.

Extra credit to any sneaker heads out there who can guess what shoes I'm wearing:D

I have a 2011 Mustang. One of my exes had a 2 year old, so I regularly put the car seat in the back (passenger side of course, ain't readjusting my seat 3 times a day! ). Really wasn't that much effort at all. Plenty of room for the car seat and the kid. The only real problems were the messes she would leave behind (banana on the black interior!).

I've also had to transport 4 people a few times, and it's really not that bad. Mainly because they weren't all 6 feet tall and several hundred pounds :p

As long as your 13 year old isn't morbidly obese, the backseats should be fine. Of course you will have to be moving the seats constantly but it looks like it's slightly easier in the '15.

Good luck!
