I bought this beauty this week:
Had a 2001 GT 5-speed that I had every bolt-on imaginable. It was badass for sure but kind of a beast. The 2023 is sooooo nice! Probably not going to mod much. In fact, I love the exhaust sound. The only reason I’d want an aftermarket exhaust would be to get larger tailpipes as the stock ones seem kind small. I like the Mach One tailpipes so much better.
Other initial impressions:
-the steering isn’t that great
-the automatic transmission so far is excellent in normal, sport and sport+
-comfortable seats and cabin
-very good sight lines and easy to drive normally (wife approved it / Camaro would have been a tough sell, lol)
-odd whining noise at idle and at low speeds in parking lots. From what I can tell and what I’ve read, it’s a normal characteristic of the 10R80 transmission. I’m hoping it does quiet down a bit once the car ia broken in some.
anyway-the car puts a major smile on my face when I drive it which Is why I bought it!
