AWE Touring Cat Back

I Just installed the AWE Touring Exhaust with black tips on my 2017 GT and I am impressed. Took under 2 hours to install taking my time to get it all aligned perfect. I had the MBRP Race catback that was installed by previous owner and it was way too loud and the drone was crazy. The AWE has no drone. I even lugged it in 6th gear between 1000 RPM and 2,000 RPM and was unable to get it to drone. I had read every thread and listened to every sound clip before purchasing. This exhaust sounds awesome. Quieter on Cold starts and Idle, Quieter in the cabin and zero drone. AWE uses Helmholtz technology built into the muffler and it works.

There are lots of sound clips on this exhaust to be found. I cant do it justice with my cheap ass phone lol. Funny that I read lots of post and videos of people installing it and saying it was louder then expected. For me, coming from MBRP Race, my first thought was it was quieter then expected. It is plenty loud and really comes alive with a little throttle input, but so much better then the MBRP. I had a corsa sport on another car and the AWE is close to it in sound level but for me a way better sound quality. Definitely deeper sounding then Corsa.

Does anyone have the black diamond tips? I have all blacked out gt but I have the chrome tips. Wondering if to change to black but they aren’t cheap so I was wondering if anyone had photos on their ride? Thanks.

Looks pretty good I cleaned mine up and now I feel like maybe it stands out too much.

I've had the system on my car since early on in the ownership(I had owned the car about a month at that point) and really like it. All the obnoxiously loud Corsa type stuff was a huge turnoff and I was looking for something slightly quieter without cabin drone and it did the trick.

I love my awe, I did order the black tips but now I’m on the fence. At least I can now swap the tips chrome to black.

I will say mine sounds amazing, even with LTH. Cold starts are a little on the loud side in the garage though.
