Hi, i have been reading this forum for many months now and finally decided to join. The Mustang is finally being delivered to Australia....fantastic. My question is, I had read somewhere that Ford is working on a 10 speed auto box for the Mustang, is this true? Has anyone here heard anything about this? Also, is there any chance that Ford will offer the magnetic suspension on the GT?
Just out of interest to the USA guys, the GT is being sold here for $67G for the auto fully optioned.

Welcome!

1: About the 10 speed auto...yes, Ford is working on it. It's going into the 2017 Ford SVT Raptor first. No word on when it's going into the Mustang, but with it replacing the 6 speed auto in the F series trucks, it's a given it will make it there within the next 3 years.

2: About the MagneRide..yes it's possible, no it's not be said or rumored to be.

Australia's got it good. I went to Vietnam a few week ago, saw a few Mustangs there. Asked my cousin how much do they go for and he said a little over 100k USD. That was for the ecoboost. Not sure if the v8 is even available. Vehicles that aren't made in Vietnam are around 3x the price there. I was surprised I saw as many as I did.

Most of the time in a Country like Vietnam the price of new cars are so high is because they don't pay much property taxes or a lot of other taxes, so to make up for it they figure if your buying a new car you will pay up a huge tax on it because they are luxury items in those places.

he meant for the whole car. I was just doing the conversion to USD
Oh that's not so bad then. In China a GT is around $120k. There's 100% import tax and large engine displacement tax.

The average wage per person in Vietnam is around 3.2 million VND ($150) a month and differentiated by many factors.

Yeah. $400 seems to be a good wage there. $800 if you're a doctor. Yet what's crazy is, everybody has an iphone. And it's not any cheaper over there. An unlocked one is $800-$1k. Priorities. LOL. I also saw a ton of Bentley Continental GT's over there. Easily 10 a day. They cost around $600k there. When I was googling the price for them in Vietnam, I read that they are the car of choice for Communist party members. :p

2-3 months wages for a phone? on a "good" salary no less

Is it common to have unlocked iPhone? How much is to buy a iphone with contract? And what are the monthly fees?

Not sure. Seems like all my relatives over the have the family over in the states buy them unlocked phones for whatever reason. Maybe it really is the most cost effective solution.

this I can see. Although its a slippery slope. Starts with an innocent "can you please send iPhone? And then its "please send Mustang EB"
