When I had my EB this tag was not on the key fob. When I traded it in and my GT I saw this. I don't recall seeing it in the manual but a cool feature if your car is out of site and you attemp a remote start.

I kept the tag on my keychain just because it's a feature the car has that I so rarely every use. I forget the sequence to remote start.

Thanks! I never got this tag with my GT.

For those who don't know the procedure to remote start see the attached pics from the manual.

If you have an automatic, all you have to do is press the lock button and the remote start button twice, and it starts.

Only works if the doors are closed. I know because I was trying to demonstrate it to friends, and wasn't working because I had shown them the interior and left the doors open.

If you have a manual, there is no remote start.

I used to use the remote start on my 2009 Challenger SRT8. The best time to use it was when it was parked out in the hot sun for a while.

I'd use the feature that the Mustang has for dropping the windows first. Heres what you do. Before leaving the car set the A.C. On full blast, turn off the car. When you return...press the door unlock 3 X's and hold down for a few seconds. The widows will drop automaticly. If you release the holding while the windows are dropping, they will stop in that position.

Then remote start the car and let the interior cool down a bit before getting in.

Really a plus feature.

While we're on the subject of automatics... does the S550 have "hill mode" available?

I have this on my 2011 GT and it's great for the race track and around town when you want to stay in a gear longer on the upshift or downshift earlier when slowing down. It is engaged by pushing a button on the side of the shifter. Thanks in advance for the reply.
