So I just got an email from a reputable business wanting to put an auto wrap on my vehicle, and the way they describe it, it sounds more like a logo decal. They would place it on my left and right doors and my trunk. They're obviously going to pay me to do this, but what about you guys? What do you think?

I obviously don't like putting logos and shizz on my lovely 5.0 but it's only for three months and they're paying a damn nice amount for me to allow it. Anything I should watch out for?

How much would they pay? I personally would never do this, but it's your car so you decide. When they take the shit off what are you going to do if it leaves a mark?

Wut?

You received an email, unsolicited from a company who wants you to be their billboard?

Is this a thing?

For me the answer would be no.

Believe me when I'm say I'm usually paranoid about these things, I've dealt with my fair share of scammers trying to best me. It's Cricket Wireless, and they're wanting to pay me roughly $4000, they have a registered email address that blocks incoming emails from addresses they haven't authorized or directly contacted themselves first... Usually hackers/scammers don't go that deep. Plus they'd have to meet me in person to apply a decal, it'd be hard to fake that. Plus they're not asking me to pay for anything.

And if it leaves a mark? Like a sun mark or decal residue?

Well it won't be on long enough to bleach the surrounding area, and the residue can always be buffed out, on top of the fact I would be HEAVILY waxing the applied areas, maybe even shell out $300 to put some temporary 3M clear bra on those areas.

It sounds too good to be true so I'm still very skeptical, but I'm entertaining their idea until they prove otherwise. I get upset when people touch my baby and it's got dust/dirt on it... I'm very protective lol

$4000 for 3 months, you can put a giant ass vagina on my car. That giant vagina just paid for a Whipple in my eyes.

I just did a little research with the help of some police friends who deal with this kind of stuff and it turns out it is A SCAM. Everything was fine until they mentioned sending me a check to pay for the detailer using my bank account. If you get any kind of emails like this via text to phone or otherwise, DELETE. IMMEDIATELY.

oh yeah, "sending a check to pay" is a big give away. Ask me how I know
Best thing to do know is report them to police.

I might do it since my car will be mostly sitting in the garage for three months.
