how do we know which exhaust is and isnt compliant. lol.. i didnt even know there is such thing as epa. thanks for that
Essentially every exhaust except for Herrod, SF (ADR compliant package) will be non-compliant. 99% chance you will not have a problem if you choose an exhaust which is louder, it all depends on how you drive it.

1st gear pulls in the middle of the CBD is probably a bad idea, I have seen a guy get pulled over with his Roush axle back doing this.

You mentioned the Herrod exhaust which is the EU Touring one supplied by Ford Performance. This one is EU compliant. This is also ADR compliant.
It is also produced by Borla for Ford Performance. We are a Factory Distributor for Borla and can supply the Borla Touring EU version which is also
compliant with our ADR requirements for noise. We import these into Australia.
Our S550 Mustang owners invariably choose the Non EU compliant versions of the Touring as the sound level is quite clearly a little louder.
The Borla of choice is the 'S' Type which is louder again and then the Borla ATAK which steps it up again in sound level. Drive sensibly and you are unlikely to have an issue doesn't matter what exhaust you have.
If you need further info on the Borla range call 03 9553 6915 or email [email protected] Cheers Fred

Apologies, forgot that you offer it as well Fred.

King3o0o Fred has some great packages as well with his exhaust so I would recommend looking at what he has in preference to the other companies I mentioned if you are thinking about suspension mods as well

Had the JBA axle back fitted today by mustang motorsport. It's not an overly loud exhaust but it sounds really nice and for its price point is great value. Has all the deep notes the factory rear mufflers lack without being a lot louder. Have not experienced any drone (I have manual) in any gear when cruising on the freeway or in 80km zones.

Still on stock exhaust but am interested in the Ford Racing cat backs. Interested to know what this one sounds like as there is supposed to be a difference between the Borla S type and this one. Where did you order yours from? Also, please post a video if possible after you install it.
Thanks.

Anyone know of a good installer for exhausts and springs around Perth? I'm unsure on what suspension to get? Was just after getting it lowered and upgrading the pipes to make it louder. Not sure if I want super loud as I have to leave home at 3.30 AM and don't want to upset the neighbours, not to mention the wife! Any advise is appreciated.
