It's a very interesting and valid point that you raise regarding the intended purpose of the car - daily driving vs weekend warrior and how that affects the choice of exhaust.

As I'm not going to drive mine daily I'm happy to have some extra noise for that total experience.
That's why I bought the corsa extreme

Too true.......if mine was a weekender I would maybe go a Corsa sport.....Extreme would still be fine but I don't like the actual sound as such...its a dirty unrefined scream....

Well said !! Thats the only reason for me to buy the MF Street Catback for my GT. Mine will be a daily drive. All I want is the deep tone of MF while idling with less sound while driving. This acted as the deciding factor in getting the Street series over the Comp series.

Well my love affair with my Magnaflow Catback, may have a premature demise.
Oh no, you have broken my heart! :headbonk:
I was just about to pull the trigger on the Comp. Mine wont be a daily driver but it will see some freeway use. Im happy to hear it at cruising throttle but I dont want it to be painful.

The CJ review of the quad tip version said there was no drone or nothing annoying about it at cruising speeds. Bugger. Cant imagine the quad tip sounds any different to the dual.

The Kooks axle back might win the day. Choosing an exhaust is more painful than the wait for the car. :)

this is the unfortunate nature of exhaust reviews, sound (and drone) is entirely subjective

there aren't many running the kooks, it's hard to find a good video without headers

Yeah im going based on the American Muscle review, specifically the comments by Stephanie.
"Its a good mix between loud and deep and the sound stays consistent through the RPMs, it doesn't get raspy or crackly in the high RPMs"

If indeed that is accurate, it sounds perfect, but who knows.

There seems to be a few ready to jump on the Magnaflow so I thought I had better pipe up now. I still like the note and volume when I am in the car by myself driving the roads I travel daily, so it might stay. Heart says keep it how it is, but head is saying something else.

Well my love affair with my Magnaflow Catback, may have a premature demise. I did some cruising on the M7 and M5 on the weekend and, it is not until I had someone in the car with me and was trying to talk to them that I realised it is probably a bit louder than I thought.
Sorry you are the one getting smashed by all the questions, would you be able to clarify the statement above.

Are you talking about loudness (I can deal with) or drone, or both?
Windows were up?

Put it on at 1400km and have 3100km on it now.
That should be enough to have carboned up.....I would consider a smallish centre resi like a magnaflow etc......
