I'm going to install it when my younger brother comes to Australia June/July from the UK and he loves mustangs a lot so he told me to wait for him and then install the exhaust system.

Hi Gnome, anything further to add on the tone and volume, unwanted frequencies etc? Info on crusing at 60/80/100 would be interesting.

Cheers.
I reckon the note is spot on for this car nice and deep, just a little squirt and you get a nice deep rumble. You can cruise around at low revs and it sounds awesome but not overly loud, get into it and then it gets louder obviously but still not extreme. Even when you get right up near the redline, it doesn't get crazy loud, well not from in the cabin any case, I have nearly 3000 km on it so it can handle a few squirts by now. I haven't heard it from the outside yet and will have to find a suitable pilot I trust to give it a bit while I listen from the side of the road. No need for volunteers, I have plenty already thank you.

There is some pulsation between around 1500 - 2500 rpm, it may be getting less as I get more k's on it or I may be just getting used to it. I think this is more a characteristic of the engine rather than this particular exhaust, but having a deep note may emphasise it. The engine seems happier cruising over 2500 rpm, and at these revs and higher there is no pulsing or drone, but it always seems to me I should be grabbing another gear, it is completely different to the 335 Miami which just cruised along at lower revs very comfortably.

60 km/h in 4th, gets this pulsing effect but either I am getting used to driving around it, or it is actually getting less as I get more KM's on the car, around 70 it goes away.

80 km/h in 4th really quiet.
100 km/h in 5th also good.
100 km/h in 6th feels like it is labouring to me so not doing that.

Could be that the engine is freeing up but before I fitted the exhaust I was getting 15.8 l /100, since fitting it almost immediately dropped to 15.1 l / 100 . you don't have to give it much for it to sound great, just taking off from the lights quite sedately you still get a great note. Before I was giving it much more right foot just to hear it.

Have a fancy new microphone for my go-pro and wanted to take some clips with the camera pointing at the tacho and the mic inside and out, but have to figure out a way to mount the camera. When I tried to sit it in front of the tacho all you could see was a reflection of the go pro. Should have some time to muck around with this on the weekend.

Considered it but for the price and also the sound, there are better options

yeah I kind of like the idea because you take it there goes in and then comes out with all the same branded products working together and here is your 393kw thank you very much. Just seems good for piece of mind.

I personally believe that its not worth the premium price they are charging and that there are /will be better local options

3" pipe is 3" pipe.....choose one thats made from quality pipe but essentially they all make the same horsepower. The KPM system of what I've heard seems quiet and very pricey. Its like the Walkinshaw gear, you pay twice the price for the name but end up with the same power a non-Walkinshaw set up makes..

Saying that KPM have a great reputation for quality exhausts, you just need to be able to justify the price.

Geez, I must be looking in the wrong spot I thought the price was ok. $7800 is install, tune, headers, cat to back and an intake. Maybe Roush trying to charge $8000 for a cat to back quad tip has made me expect to little for my money :-)

Anyone in the Sydney or ACT area got any suggestions of places they are getting good prices?
