Looking for opinions on possible component/amp hook up options. My amp is a JL XD700/5 (5 ch amp). Components are JL C3-650(2 way). Specs for components are 75 watt RMS, JL recommends 25-150 RMS. Sub is a JL 10W3v3 10" HO factory enclosure. Stock 6 speaker system that has be given the OEM treatment with processing removed and converted to line level. No rear speakers will be used in this system. I will be tuning output of amps via voltage output per JL recommendation.

option 1 - Run amp w/passive crossover at 75wpc

option 2 - Run amp bridged w/passive crossover at 200wpc

option 3 - Run amp using internal crossover at 75wpc to each tweeter/mid

Leaning option 3 because of simplicity of hook up and tuning.

What are you doing for processing? Time alignment, EQ, phase?

At this point I have only used OEM's programmer to remove the factory processing. I have never messed with the time alignment before and don't think I will this time either. The passive crossovers do have level adjustments but that can also be done at the amp if I use that as my crossover,

Time alignment and equalization are paramount to good audio reproduction if you stick with the stock speaker locations. Amplifiers don't have level adjustments, those are gain pots used to level match components, people misuse them all the time. After the install of your initial components I would advise you consider a DSP. Just swapping out speakers and the amplifier isn't really going to accomplish what it sounds like you want to do.
