Audio from Apple Carplay

I was wondering if anyone has noticed that the audio occasionally will become distorted when using Apple CarPlay for Music? I can fix it by unplugging it and plugging it back in as if it had not loaded everything correctly and it's playing the music at a much lower quality. I am plugging it in the front USB port.

mine does the same, I updated my ios on the iPhone and it said "fixed crackling audio through carplay" which is weird as it got way worse after the ios update.

This just in, the audio issue has gone away after updating from Sync 3 version 2.0 (build 17XXX) to Sync 3 version 3.0 (18XXX). Essentially, just go to ford.com | sign in | sync 3 updates and download the latest one onto your flash drive and update it. Of course follow the manufacture instructions which they include. Just plug the thumb drive and leave it in and turn the radio off so you can see it updating on the upper left corner. Have faith and keep the engine running until it's complete. Basically, follow the instructions they provide and you'll be golden.
