I'm looking for a deep tone at idle then a more aggressive/slightly higher pitched tone when under acceleration. In my mind from what I've researched.

MRT- Deepest tone I've found, doesn't sound quite as aggressive as hoped in the higher RPMs

ARH H pipe- Not quite as deep as MRT but second best at idle and such, has more of an aggressive tone at he higher RPMS (hopefully).

Even if I keep the MRT I'll be happy, just wanted to see what the ARH is like under full acceleration. The rasp/tin sound from the X-pipes is a no go for me.
Great summary! :clap2:

Awesome new clips man, sounds really good.

I keep jumping between this and the Borla S Type, more so leaning on the ARH. The Corsa's are sounding nice as well, just not deep enough.

Another quick question for you (or anyone who currently runs ARH)... Comparing them to sound clips or hearing the MRT catback in person, what would you say the main difference between the two are?

Also sucks about the discovered leak! Hope they can figure that out for you soon.
I'm in the same camp as you...I was Borla S, then MRT then ARH, back to MRT, back to Borla, then added Ford Touring because a few say the S screams when you add a CAI...at this pace, the car will rot before I make a choice!

+1 on the leaking, hopeful nothing serious...

Thanks gentlemen. I'm taking the car in tomorrow, but the service dept also seemed to think it's an A/C leak and nothing too serious.

As for how the ARH H-pipe compares to the MRT, it's hard to say since I've seen so few MRT clips. But based on whats out there, I actually think they're very similar in the lower RPM range. As the RPMs climb, I do think the ARH sounds more aggressive and has a broader range in tone (if that makes any sense). But it's not raspy by any means IMO.

And then there's the issue of done. MRT admits that some drone is present in their own video. ARH, on the other hand, doesn't appear to have any. I personally didn't think it did and it was subsequently confirmed by others who are more familiar with what drone is and what it sounds like.

I originally reported No Drone when I installed my ARH CB-H system.

After 1000+ Miles, It now has a very-very low drone. Still not enough to make you raise your voice to carry on a conversation or give ya a headache. Recently went on a 120 mile round trip with a friend, we talked W/O raising our voices.

The ARH is almost perfect to my ears...Low civilized rumbly bass tone at idle, the kind that does not annoy neighbors or whoever doesn't like loud exhaust...Aggressive throttle & the ARH wakes up with an incredible Big-Boy Sound W/O Raspy Crap or Cheap AZZ Foreign tone.

Have you re-tightened since installation?
Yes, at about 200 miles...Plan on doing again next week...The drone is of a low frequency & decibel level is low as well...Not an issue but have to be honest, it's slightly noticeable...I strongly recommend this system-->:first:

To anyone on the fence, the ARH system sounds great as Farmundeh's recent vids show.

It's got a real deep traditional V8 sound with little to no rasp and little to no drone; it doesn't sound like an exotic car or Subaru/import like some systems remind me of with a real metallic trumpety sound under throttle. It's a good volume that you can hear but not obnoxious either.

You can't beat ARH's quality or customer service either. I was hesitant too choosing a system but glad I went with route now that its on the car.

Sounds great! I realize I'm comparing phone to phone but it does sound different than mine with the headers. Same overall tone which I really like and just a little quieter. Really nice!

How long did it take to get your exhaust system? I placed an order for a full ARH catted with H pipe on the 19th. Pacing back and forth waitin for it!! My 5.0 is too quiet :(

rpm & speed?

:headbang:
I looked at the speedometer a second or so after passing the camera. It was a shade over 80 mph. I had started from a full stop at or around the beginning of the clip, with i'd say about 80% throttle. The RPMs weren't screaming by any means (stupid auto tranny:headbonk::frusty:), but it was probably 3500-4k. Not sure though. Next time i'll paddle shift to make her sing more.

The mic on the iphone is horrrrrrrrible, it picks up far too much of the surrounding noise when doing a drive by. But I completely agree, the tone is definitely the same. I love love LOVE your clips. If i end up with headers it's your fault:headbang:

I went through ARH directly and had them install at their HQ. It's well worth the wait, just make sure you have a decent camera ready for once it arrives :ninja::headbang:
