I've been wondering the same about LT header addition. What about the butt meter? Do you lose any torque that you can feel in your seat? And if you do, is the HP gain worth it and dealing with Cali emission's restrictions? Honest questions.

I am going the cat delete route just for this reason

I hate loud these days and I hate dealing with the inspector
I'm going to set my stock cat system up so I can bolt if back on the car for inspection

any empirical data to back this claim up?
Added Kooks 1 7/8 headers with high flow cats and picked up somewhere between 30-40 whp. Sorry I don't remember the exact number...

so im eating my own words. purchased some used ARH 1/78 catless headers. im not sure if ill be able to dyno before or after the LT install (especially since it will be different days and different weather im sure.) but id love to get data for everyone. my mid muffler exhaust may restrict things, however.

I just got mine back together and put longtubes on it this time. Def. louder, will get some times after i break it in to see if it picked up anything. On a side note drove it to work open headers this morning.... 44 miles. Talk about loud..
Bless you heart thats gotta be hella loud.

Thats my dream setup. Bolt in/out cats for smog w remote dumps after cats/bolt section. Might as well have injectors at the dumps to blow raw fuel for max flame effect.
"Stealth Anarchy" headers.

I think a Sai Li fuel system and E85 tune would get you almost 100whp for the same cost.
