Anything needed to beef up Auto with Blower install?

I know that there are mods that make the auto perform better, but i'm talking about safety/longevity here.

I have the procharger coming next week, and will be making relatively low boost with a conservative tune - still, I want to be sure i'm not forgetting anything as far as upgrading the Auto to handle the increased power. I should be at, what 650hp or so...? Do I need a transmission cooler or anything?

The 6R80 transmission is named by the following:

• 6 - 6 Speed.
• R - Rear wheel drive.
• 80 - Ford Motor Co. strength designation, nominal max input torque or 800 N-M (590 lb-ft)*.

So as long as you don't go too far over 590 TQ you'll be good. Plenty make way more than rated power without problems too of course, just like the engine itself.

We've come a long way! My last auto stang was my 2000, and had a Vortech - made 341rwhp, 338tq, but the auto performed pretty badly.

Guys are using the 6r80 trans with 1000 rwhp with the only change being a coverter. The tune you get will make the difference in shift pressure and shift timing!

We do a billet intermediate shaft and the exedy stage 2 clutch packs on high hp cars
