I've finally got some extra money and am thinking about doing a couple mods on my 2012 Ford Mustang GT. I'm thinking about changing out my ignition switch and adding a Push Button. I'm wondering if anyone has done this mod? I saw some kits on eBay but they look way too cheap and I don't trust Chinese crap anyway. I also found a couple systems made here in the states, one is by Flaming River who I know and trust; https://www.flamingriver.com/rfid-keyless-ignition-systems and another by www.digitalguarddawg.com/auto . They totally look like the same systems to me just with different names on the boxes. a big price difference though. Has anyone done this mod and used any of these systems? I'm wondering how hard they are to install?
The Guard Dawg company has a bunch of cool start buttons, https://www.digitalguarddawg.com/ikey-start-button-options-2 I can do basic wiring but don't want to get in over my head. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Doesn't matter if it's an S550 or S197, this will have to install like a remote start unit to work properly. I haven't done one of those now in over a decade so I assume the CAN interface modules are a bit easier to work with but this still won't be for beginners. Especially when you consider it isn't a stereo, it takes out the whole car if something goes wrong leaving you walking home. You would be best served to consider taking it to a local audio shop and having it installed by somebody experienced in remote starts.

My '14 had the Flaming River setup. I legitimately never once had an issue and it was a mod I was happy with.
