Just wondering if any has had any success using a gripper pulley? And do they put any extra wear on the belts

Thanks
Joe

Most Whipple pulleys don't have an issue as is. Many can run down to 3.25 without issue.

Mine came in a couple days ago and plan on putting it on the car this week. No prior experience. It’s definitely a nice piece.

Remember to get a smaller belt if dropping from > 3.5

I have a Griptec 3.75 because I thought I was getting belt slip with the Whipple pulley. I don't worry about belt slip now. And, I don't feel like I need to have the belt adjusted to the maximum tightness. On a cold day, it looks like about a .5 pound increase of boost. The Griptec does what it is supposed to. I only have about 1,000 miles on it, but don't see any evidence it's causing problems with the belt. So, if you are planning on changing pulley size, I would say spend the money on Griptec.
