I had a similar issue with a Whipple and it never was correctly resolved. Whipple sent a few new calibrations and blamed my car for being in Ford specs, but out of Whipple’s specs. At one point they said I had a bad cam phaser, but could not tell me which one. I sold the kit to another guy on...
We got an email from Mazda saying it was disabled. A couple days later there was a message on the display saying the DCM was disabled. We don't get any messages about it anymore.
I noticed that, too. You would think you'd get a system failure message. Clearly they don't want you to know.
We recently purchased a 2025 Mazda CX-5. When we purchased it, we had to sign a form stating that we acknowledge that the vehicle collects and sends data to a remote server. I was...
You don't have to worry about it, but some of us do. Some of us care, at least out of principal, about being snooped on. Since Ford didn't offer me a kickback on the money they may potentially make by selling my data, they can't have my data as much as I know how to avoid letting them...

I would say for $61,000 the car should not make any popping or clunking noises.
So, yes, it really is a problem. Considering there is a TSB on the noise, and the dealership replaced about $1,000 worth of parts and paid a tech a day's labor, I would say even the dealership thinks it's a...
Thanks for all the replies. The dealership warranted the wheel bearings, washers, axle half shafts and some other parts. Noise is still there. Car only has 15,000 miles on it and the noise has been present since I owned the car with 3,000 miles on it.
Hi all,
I'm getting tired of the popping noise coming from the differential. Dealership already replaced rear bearings and half shafts as part of a TSB. Noise is still there. Happens when I back out of a parking spot and then start moving forward in a straight line, happens when I am stopped...
I called Tremec but they said because the TR3160 is proprietary, they can't provide me with the service manual. I want to change the synchros for 5th gear.
I have driven on the factory Michelins on my Mach 1 in temps as low as 20 degrees for probably a few hundred miles last fall. I live in Eastern Maine and put my car away when they start putting salt on the road due to ice. That said, I almost lost control of my 2015 Mustang GT with the OEM...
Hey Buddy,
Thanks for the reply. I guess mine isn't so bad considering I can cruise at 55MPH without problems, and only have the issue in 6th gear. Yes, I do find myself needing to forgive a lot of things about this car that I really find unacceptable because of some of the other...
Did you ever get this figured out? My car just started making a similar noise, and it's a manual. Sounds a bit like a dying power steering pump whine. (Yes, I know the car has no power steering pump.). Only happens about 2,000-3,000 RPM. The noise just started happening at about 9,200 miles...
I wondered if the different modes made a difference, but figured ford couldn’t make them act differently under different modes for liability reasons. I will pay attention to that next time I’m out.
