If your running air I would go tucked fitment. Fender to lip will cause some damage to the fenders over time. And Its all tricky, after you get the air youll have to do some measurements yourself on what offset you need to get.

I see a lot of older trucks in my area that look like that. I thought their ball joints needed replacing. Didnt realize one your ball joints go out it becomes a fad

That's a very good question that unfortunately I don't have an answer for. But I imagine it involves high levels of lead exposure as newborns and/or missing chromosomes for the owners who choose to do this.
