Looking to replace a part, don't know what it's called to look it up though.

It's an abs plastic "extension" hanging down off the back of the passenger side skirt, in front of the rear wheel. It almost looks like a small mud flap, but it's in front of the rear wheel not behind it.

Not sure if oem or something added on, almost looks like I could just remove both the driver and the broken passenger sides and no one would even notice.

It’s hard to tell from the pictures I’m seeing, but it may be part of the wheel house liner, number 6 in this image. Maybe someone can confirm.

Yeah I'd agree. If that's the case I may either remove them or figure out how to reattach the one that's hanging... I'm not ready to shell out for a whole new side skirt moulding just for that part.

You might find one at a pick-a-part, or even some place online like the parts farm (like this one)

Good job Mike! I don't know why parts.ford.com didn't have this showing as a separate part #,
(edit: my bad, they DID have it listed as a separate part#, but it was in the upper left of the image in the diagram legend and I didn't see that) ...but sure enough, that looks like the right one :like:

That is called an Air Deflector on Ford's part site

If you didn’t post the pic of the rocker cover I would have thought it was part of the wheel liner, as I have seen that on a lot of cars. The searchable catalog from Levittown Ford got us all the way there.

Yes, that is the correct part. Be sure to order the correct side as they are not interchangeable. I've had to replace the drivers side twice on my convertible. Road debris kicks up from the front tire and tears them off.
I've had to reinforce the mounting points due to damage to the side skirt.
I'm not sure they are really needed or if the make any difference at all but I'm OCD enough to keep replacing them.
