Is that the engine used for ground speed,or is that the air speed engine,it's a little hard to tell by the codes.:headbonk:

The 1st motor was built on August 6th, 2016.

2nd motor was October 1st, 2011.

I don't mean to insult your intelligence here.. just wondering if you're familiar with a QR code. That is what that is. You can download a free QR code reader to any smartphone and simply aim your camera at it and it will tell you whatever information is coded in that label.. hope that helps!

I checked and unfortunately the QR code displays the same numbers and letters written on the rest of the sticker, but in this order instead:
E1521 1101180290
FR3E 6006 CD

Nah... November 1st, 2018. ;)

The FR3E seems to be a 2015 part number... that doesn't mean it was built on that date though.

HG would be a '17 if convention holds, but it's curious that there's only 2 digits.

E1521 seems to be the part number as it stays consistent... The long randomness after that is likely a serial number.

What exactly are to trying to find out?

Nope, 2018 valves covers don’t look like that.
They don't cease production of older engines just because a new line started, they still need them for warranty replacements for the duration of the other years. There is usually some overlap there.
