Best I could do was give up on California. Have a 16' ordered from Oklahoma, where I only had to pay the dealers $1,000 program buy-in. So in the end, I am basically paying a $1,000 - $2,000 markup after plane flight and gas to get the car back.

Best I could do in California was a $10k ADM.
$10,000 ADM is ridiculous and a perfect example of why the public absolutely despises car dealers and what they do to the overall car buying experience. Paying this is no different than throwing ten thousand dollars out into the middle of the street. The thought of walking into a car dealer and talking price on a new vehicle is enough to make most people cringe. There is no reason why this has to be. This grease ball industry has earned their stereotype. I always feel like I need a good shower when I walk out of one of those rotten places.

Yeah pretty much. There were two norcal dealers taht sold cars for MSRP, but those had a waiting line long before the order banks were opened and essentially sold out immediately. I did find one 5k over in the central valley, but still too much IMO so I also went out of state.

Besides these 3 dealers, all were asking 15-20k over onaverage, with a few loony folks asking even more than that (all non-R cars)

I agree, look out of state or start working on a 2017 deal now

Act now - looks like it's only a 2 year run.

Long time lurker, made the account b/c im running out of options.

I live in SoCal and have been calling dealerships for about a month (15 or so dealers).

Im getting quotes anywhere from 15-30k ADM on non R versions.

I was wondering if anyone had any luck finding anything better than that? I think if i want to stay local I will either have to pay ADM or wait a year until things settle down.

Anyone getting better luck?

Dude,
I am in Nor Cal, couldn't find a GT 350 without at least 10K ADM in all the surrounding states: WA,OR, AR, UT, ID, MT, NV and even TX. Found one for 1K ADM in MD, having it courtesy delivered to Nor Cal for 250$....so my advice is go out of state wayyyy out of state if you want to find a GT350 any where close to MSRP.
