Anyone have Trufiber dash installed?

I ran into an issue with my Trufiber install, specifically the long dash piece. No matter what I try I can’t get the two top clips to engage just under the center channel speaker and it leaves this ugly gap.

Anyone run into this issue and know how to correct it? I compared this piece to my OEM ones and I can’t visually see any warps, deformations, or differences. The tab lengths are the same on both pieces and I did a one for one swap of the retainer clips so I know those aren’t the issue.
