I was wondering if anyone has the MMD strut covers? And if so, did you paint them? More specifically, did you paint the pony's only? And if you did, how id you accomplish it without making a big mess of everything?

I have them currently unpainted however I have considered painting the pony. The pony isn’t recessed so that’s a challenge. I thought about spraying them with plasti dip then cutting out the pony to spray it. Don’t know if it will work just my thoughts

I would just mask off around the pony and then spend some very careful time with a very sharp razor trimming it up. Yes it will take some time but cost virtually 0 to do. Then use some quality plastic paint and hit it. I think body color pony would look killer.....may have a winter project for myself :)

Any links to more about that? I didn't find it on their site. Will be a shame; they do great paint and are very flexible. They added Velocity Blue to their options for my coil covers and did multiple colors for the lettering.

That's my plan right there! I've already got a set. Started to do them all in red. The red wasn't the red and it ran like hell. So I'll be starting over. Hope to have them done by the end of next month.
