Right then, got the meter out. Its been a long time since I did anything electrical, but;

1. The battery side of the fuse appears to be on the 'left', so if you connect as per the other thread (http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31560 ), there will be no fuse protection. Be good if someone else could check in case I've made a mistake.

Have you gone to the right side fuse leg then?

Yes.

My device doesn't appear to work in parking mode. There's no 'motion' events recorded, despite the fact I went out and waved my hand in front of the camera a couple of times. Not sure it's getting power at all when the ignition is off. Did you use 'fuse 2' for the yellow in the end?

What a never ending pain!

Yup yellow to fuse2, that's why I was questioning whether fuse 2 has constant power. I don't think it does because when the ignition is off the mirrors will not fold.

I thinks it's the "mirror memory" (adjustment position?) rather than the folding mirrors, but even so, I'm now questioning myself over this as well. I did measure a voltage when the power was off, but maybe there are two "offs", as even when you've turned everything off, there's still a lot of lights and stuff going on. Maybe you need to walk away with the key and leave for a few mins? Although if you're managing to get it to work in parking mode using fuse 2, then it must have constant power. I haven't even managed to record anything in parking mode. At least you're onto the next level of annoyance - i.e. the software bugs.

No I'm the same, parking mode won't work. Convinced fuse 2 isn't constant power

Yeah, looks like its the case. Back to the drawing board and that foul fuse box. Might look how easy it is the thread a connection straight to the battery compartment. Not something I've ever done before though.

Wired mine up, using fuse 2, get the same issue of leaving the car & returning with 10 mins & it not powering up, so feels like we do need a different fuse to number 2 - has anyone made any progress there yet?

I'm sure I read somewhere people have used 36

I'm sure I also read that 36 was a bad bad fuse! 20A and breaks things when pulled? (Might have been 33)

Edit : maybe not, 33 looks like the one not to touch. 36 is 15a, auxiliary body module?

Yeah, I've ordered a spare fuse pack as don't want to be stuck as a result of my own tinkering.

Anyone had another stab at the wiring?

One thing I have also noticed is that the unit doesn't always turn on automatically.

EDIT - ordered the wrong size. Can't seem to find the micro2 fuses in the UK?
