Anyone fit a bumper inside their car? For transporting to the body shop for paint.

I bought a bumper but didn't really think about how I would get it to the shop for painting. My mustang is my only car at the moment.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this kind of post.

Would this be a factory Mustang bumper
Is it a front bumper or rear

Basically take out of box, lay down rear seats, open trunk, bend it, push it till end gets past package shelf, tie down trunk. If it's fiberglass...NO

Its a gt500 style front bumper. Not fiber glass, it's polypropylene which i guess means its plastic like OEM grade stuff.

I guess I can try my best to squeeze it in lol

I think it’ll be too big. The trunk is spacious but the opening isn’t the biggest.

I’m assuming it came in a box. Maybe throw a towel over the roof so it won’t get scratched and try to strap it down but it would have to be some kind of cord that won’t scratch the paint too.

You don't know anyone with a pickup truck or SUV that would help? 75% of all vehicles here in Cajun Country fit that description.

You could see about changing the destination if you know which body shop you're going to use.

FWIW there's a seller on Amazon who sells prepainted bumper skins and they ship them folded up. Reading the reviews it apparently does not hurt them.
I'm currently repairing a fender bender on my Edge and am planning on ordering the skin from them. Prepainted and color matched to the car for $330 shipped and guaranteed.

Rent a uhaul or have the freight company deliver direct..best route if you don’t have a neighbor with a pickup

Since you already have it go get that uhaul
