Anyone down for Angeles Crest?

I work up at MT Wilson once or twice a week, Angeles Crest is looking pretty good. Redbox gets a little rocky, but the road crews do a pretty good job most days.
Thought might be nice to try and put a run together? End of Sept maybe October, anyone down?

Yes. Interested. But usually only free one weekend a month as we are gone for the moto races most weekends. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are usually better for me to take the car out.....

Hell ya.. honestly for me the best day to do this is on a Wednesday.

The weekends got a lot of traffic up there with the hikers and all the cyclists.
Monday mornings have a lot of rocks cause they don’t clear as much on the weekends.

twotone5.0 could you make a Wednesday work? Say maybe 9/30 or 10/7

Sweet! Well the Wednesday part is awesome!

But yes this Bobcat fire is without a doubt will impact this.
Angles Crest is open currently but it’s not in anyone’s best interest to be messing around up there. Red Box is closed.

I have a number of transmitter sites up there so I have an obligation to stay Informed of was going on up there. I will keep you guys posted to the latest developments.

Maybe we can plan on later on in October, if they get it under control.
