Looking to buy a bottle of wine as a gift for someone. I believe they drink Cabernet but any red is fine. They're not the biggest of wine drinkers so I'm looking to buy a name brand that is recognizable that it's a good wine. Looking to spend up to $100. Any recommends?
Thanks

Great question, wish I could help. I only know what I like. Everyone has their own preferences. I am the Ayatollah of Jim Beam and Cola.

The most I have spent on a bottle of wine is about $13 so I'm not much help. I do enjoy a nice Chianti or Shiraz though.

Mogan David's finest blend of 20/20 :D

Actually, I (we) drink a lot of red wines. Restless Soul from Old North State Winery in Mt. Airy NC is a good one, another is Dona Sol Merlot. It's a California wine. Our go to is the Woodbridge Reds. I've tried 14 Hands, but its a bit on the sweeter side if they like grape juice.
There is a few more I really like, just cannot remember the name of them right now.
Don't spend $100 on one bottle of wine. Get them a case if they like wine. If they don't that bottle will never get opened up and turn to vinegar.

Hell, I even installed a wine fridge in the kitchen when I remodeled it last summer.
