Should be too hard. Anyone have a diagram of the backup camera wiring? A few blocking diodes and a camera similar to the stock backup camera and its done.

I got a quick reply from Coastal Electronics about he 2015 Mustang:
" If your Mustang has the MyTouch system WITH touchscreen, it may be compatible soon.

The 2015 Mustangs have indeed finally made the switch to the MyTouch system (if it has touchscreen) but have not been released for compatibility with our device and technology yet, since this is the first year the MyTouch system has been in the Mustang.

I'd recommend checking back with us in a few months to see if the 2015 Mustangs have been released as compatible with our device.

Thanks!

Leaves me out with the base 4.3" NON touch screen in my convertible. I am hoping someone is able to create or run across a kit for front cameras. I would love to see if it is possible to see not only a front curb, but also the right curb when parking parallel to a curb.:)

I am very interested in following this front end camera project/possibility. My convertible will only have the base 4.3" (non MFT) display, so I do not know if patching a front camera into that would be possible with even the technical know how (which I do not have). If anyone has patched a front camera in to there MFT, or even more helpful ;)) their non MFT display, help us all out here and tell us what you did. Barring that, if you have added one of those Lic. Plate camera kits w/ separate display, show us where you mounted the display, how it looks and works. I am hoping to find a solution that shows not only front curb obstacles but also gives adequate view of the right curb so you avoid scraping thr RF rim when parallel parking.

If there is a techie here that decides he will take this 'patch in' project on...
SWEET! :hail:

Well have tapped backup signals before. Just tap the signal add your own switch and blocking diodes to isolate the power. Then tap the signal and add your own second camera that only comes on with the forementioned switch. BOOM! video input to 4.3"

Help finding Wiring Diagram for Camera related circuits!

I will tackle it if someone can get me a wiring diagram.
I really would like to find a front camera solution for front and right side curb detection. Does anyone have any insights on how to get a wiring diagram of the circuits related to the back up camera? We have a volunteer (aggieStang) willing to see what can be done... if we can juuuuuust find a piece of (digital) paper. :frusty:

Any thoughts on how this info might be found now, or when it might become available?

I just heard back (very quickly!) from Rachel. Wiring diagrams and the entire manual are available online at the Motorcraft site:
http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/retail/default.asp?pageid=pubs&gutsid=pubs_wiring

I did not look into it in depth, but this page offers electronic copies for 72 hrs, 31 days or yearly. I assume for varying costs.

"Hey Dave,

You can purchase access to any wiring diagrams that are available on Motorcraft. You're able to purchase both online access and paper/CD copies.

aggieStang,
If you want a manual for your 2015 anyway, this will get you there.
What do you think?
