I would recommend the thread on svtperformance dot com “mmr oil pump gear install”...best ive seen if your looking for a picture walkthrough. Many helpful threads on this forum as well. Note the S550 timing procedure is entirely different than the S197.

Oh didn’t see that last part, yes looking for a good procedure including the timing on the s550. Doing long tubes next month and and going to give the boss 302 Intake a try. Going to port it first then do the oil pump gears for some peace of mind for the higher rpms

It’s not that hard, just take your time...I’m in the middle of it now. The worst part of the job is reinstalling the oil pump pickup bolt closest to the crank snout. The timing procedure is different on the 15-17 as someone mentioned earlier and you’ll want to remove the battery tray cover to get the passenger side valve cover off.

If you’re handy with tools and have some experience turning wrenches you can probably get through it in about 8 hours. Ive got about 6 hours invested and I’ve got the oil pump back on the car and the timing chains ready to go back on. It looks way worst than it actually is.

I would give yourself two days to do it, but it will probably take a bit less.
