Any carnuba fans?

I have a '17 in LB coming in a month. The bimmer I had 2002-2012 was a similar color. I kept that car detailed w/ carnuba: it seemed to provide a lot of "depth" to the color. However, the lifetime of carnuba is inferior to the polymer based waxes, which seem to provide more gloss. Anyone use carnuba anymore?

I recently waxed my LB with Meguires Gold Class paste which is a Carnauba based wax and it looked great, the depth on the hood while driving was ridiculous. I considered the polymer but it costs twice as much and reviews I saw of the performance didn't seem to me to justify the cost at the time. Also I think the Gold Class has some added polymer like tech in it. I would like to point out that the wax seems to fingerprint more than I've experienced with other waxes and does the very hard to remove white marks on any trim you may unfortunately may get it on which I thought I heard polymers do not. Next time I will probably step up to the polymer and see how it performs. Also my car isn't a daily so I figured I would end up reapplying before it stopped protection.

I've used this carnauba wax for years on my boat and it works great for the GT..

Congrats on the new car, LB is a gorgeous color. Why not apply a sealant and then a carnuba wax on top?

That's exactly what I do. Wolfgang Sealant and then Pinnacle carnuba on top of that. Lasts about 3-4 months depending on weather conditions.

ive always loved mothers paste canuba if doing it by hand paste is way easier to use and less mess as far as im concerned. i also think paste seems to last longer than liquid wax.

I use the standard Turtle Wax paste, Lasts about 3-4 months with weekly washes. I apply using a small 3" microfiber pad and then buff to a shine with a microfiber towel. Water beads up nicely and really slides right off. Going to try Jetseal followed by the TurtleWax before it snows here for the winter.

I apply Blackfire Crystal Seal (polymer sealant) to my car, then a coat or two of Chemical Guys Hardcore XXX Carnuba wax. It buffs off to a ridiculously nice shine, and lasts about 4 months. The polymer is just a spray, and is stupid easy to apply. There are different types of Carnuba wax, and each color will show differently with each wax. The XXX Hardcore is a yellow wax, which, according to Chemical Guys, brings out the warm tones of my Race Red Mustang. Lightning Blue will respond better to a white Carnuba.
