Ford can now see if you flashed you ECU, and how many times, unlike maybe 5 years ago. If the number of flashes doesn't match your service record, bye bye warranty; at least anything under the hood or transmission that can be associated with strain from extra power from a tune. Putting the tune back to stock before going in for service no longer will get you by.

Your earlier theory Geico will cover anything not warranty is likely debunked as well. I HIGHLY doubt any reputable shop is going to risk insurance fraud to lie on your behalf about your car being modified. And the insurance 100% will ask, it is a routine question before paying out.

Pay to play. Be ready to pay up to fix your car cash, again anything under hood or transmission (or any aftermarket part itself) if you intend to mod.

I did hear about that insurance as well... sounds too good to be true.

Of course. I've seen the policy terms and any mods to the car void the policy, just like the Ford factory warranty. Except it seems to be even more broad in that the mod didn't even have to cause the problem; it just says mods=void. It's insurance so they set the terms they want.

Bruh...My point literally TUNE=WARRANTY DELETE

NO TUNE=WARRANTY  why so hard to understand?

FORD is rich and they can do wtv they want... YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY
It isn't that cut and dry. Many people have had powertrain warranty coverage that had a tune on their 11-14 mustangs. There are also many cases where the car was stock (stock tune) but showed clear signs of abuse (racing) and were denied warranty coverage.

Of course there are some dealers that will deny warranty coverage without providing actual proof the tune or other mod actually caused the failure, leaving it up to you to prove them wrong in court. Good luck with that...

The insurance company already knows my car is modified it is literally in my file with them that I have a CAI and catback. Ppl really need to hop off the high horse around here. There is a whole lot of speculation being stated as fact in here

I at no point stated that I plan on committing insurance fraud or ripping off ford. I am saying that just because my car is modified does not mean that I caused the problem and it also does not mean it is not under warranty or insured. It is pure bs to say that oh you're tuned so now any issue you ever have with your power train will have to be paid out of pocket. I have plenty of money to take care of any issues I have but it is highly unlikely that anything I have done would cause any issues and as such if I do have a problem I will be seeking coverage before I just assume that I have no options

Apparently you don't read well because that was in response to his remark about California emissions. If you need to get inspected just flash to stock
