That's understandable. I think I would still try and sell her on a base Ecoboost over the V6 though. If she doesn't care for the leather and toggle than it's definitely not worth the $5k for a premium Ecoboost but the $1250 to get a base Eco is worth it for the better fuel economy, vehicle handling(ecoboost has the best weight distribution), and torque curve.

The Ecoboost should end up more fun to drive compared to the v6 for most people. She doesn't seem like to person to care about the sound of the engine so I doubt the speaker amplfiied sound will bother her.

Just my .02 though.
Really the only thing she cares about is the way it looks. She drives like my grandma. So really its about getting her something she visually likes. The only way I see her going to the EB. Is because of the 20' rims, she likes those.

Out of curiosity, why do you even want the v6? Even if you don't care for the better engine (which I assume your wife does mostly city driving), you cannot get any of the premium features with it.
Love the Avatar! One of my favorite shows!

Dude you're seriously overreacting. The others about summed it up, so I won't really waste my time explaining.

But I will throw in there, from an engineering perspective, yes the ecoboost is the far more impressive engine. Just ask anyone who works for Ford *whistles*
It looks like you were venturing into a zone of danger...
