It seems Ford know their pony is massively popular and they're capitalising on it in 2016.

I've just spoken with my local franchise manager and he said I was lucky to get my car when I did before the price increase to £33,995. Next year they're going to go up in price yet again. To what I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if they started retailing for £34,995. That's still a phenomenal deal for a V8 Coupé - hopefully its justified with some more toys on the British market version, else Ford are just being greedy!

I wouldn't expect more goodies in the car, I assume they know they can charge more, and will charge more it increases their profit margins mainly.

I hear that there will be a £1k option where if you tick it the dealer will give you information on your order

Wouldn't be surprised either. They could always discount the list price if they have to.

I noticed at least one dealer advertising from £30,495 (£500 more than the nationwide list price) already.

The pound has recently dropped quite a bit against the dollar and the prices have not changed since May so an increase "soon" would not be a surprise. Order before it and you are price protected...

Isn't it a typical Ford thing, they usually do yearly increases on their cars.

I suspect it's probably more to do with logistical costs rather than production costs. It must cost an absolute fortune to ship the car over here. I know personal shipping costs aren't really indicative of mass market shipping, but when I shipped my old Corvette over from New York State that cost me about £1800 all told (transport from seller to docks, container shipping, customs, demurrage, insurance, etc)

Probably, overall increases profit margins on the cars somewhat.

I assume logistics wise with Fords international status and thus the infrastructure that comes with it, they'll have some decent 'deals' for transporting them over. Still, they're a company and profit is what keeps the afloat. (and our cars from sinking)
