Thank you Jarstang for allowing me to post the below.

Falcon Forums was the only forum present at today's official reveal of the last ever Falcon GT at Ford Australia's HQ, along with personnel from the Australian motoring media. Ian (HSE2) will give his report after he gets some shut-eye. It should be worth the read.

Anyway here's our thread which includes the official FPV press release and some of the media's articles.

It's a 5 litre with 351kW.
AT THE WHEELS!!!

Close to 600 horses without even trying. Go home, LSA - this is Boss power.

FPV GT F outpowers HSV GTS

Image 1 of 2

The Aussie horsepower king has been identified. And we're as surprised as anyone...

Prepare for an Internet meltdown. The dyno figures are in and it's official, Ford Performance Vehicles' GT F out-powers the Holden Special Vehicles GTS.

The forums have been raging since Ford unveiled the last ever FPV, the GT F. Although it claims 351kW, the FPV engineers said then and there that the supercharged V8 Falcon was good for more. And clearly they weren't telling fibs…

Holden Special Vehicles GTS was launched in 2013 and on the spec sheet significantly out powers the Falcon with 430kW vs 351kW.

But now we've settled the argument. Or at the very least ignited a new one.

Same day, same dyno, same conditions... And the figures are in.

Ford Performance Vehicles GT F
348.6kW at the rear wheels (rated to 351kW at the flywheel)
721Nm at the rear wheels (rated to 570Nm at the flywheel)

Holden Special Vehicles GTS
339.6kW at the rear wheels (rated to 430kW at the flywheel)
751Nm at the rear wheels (rated to 740Nm at the flywheel)

And yes, we are as dumbstruck as anyone.

Let the comments begin... And stay tuned for more on our Ultimate Aussie Muscle Car shootout.

There's a massive story to this and I'd like to use one of our members' somewhat humurous but accurate posts to illustrate what happened over the past week....

Is this how this story will read in 5 years time?

Wheels plans first dyno test and gets GTF and GTS delivered to vcm. Vcm do crap job of strapping down GTS and wheels post both cars on FB asking for people's guesses. Majority of People on FB pick GTF. Vcm do up some dodgy figures. Ford hear of GTF figures and are not impressed. Conversations between Ford and Wheels is off the record and heated.

People on FB going nuts demanding that the results be published. Wheels make up some wank story.

Mean while Motoring pick up GTF and GTS and do their own dyno testing. Ford ask Motoring for their results and thus confirms their belief that wheels dyno test are floored.

Ford go back to Wheels and demand dyno test be redone. Wheels say no way,we want GTS to win so stick it.

Wheels now know that Motoring results are more in line with real world figures and that they have been officially caught out.

Mean while comments on FB are starting to annoy Wheels.

Wheels knows that Motorings results are going to be published very soon.

With Wheels ship and credibility sinking fast and in their haste to be the first out there with Dyno results do something even more stupid and publish results on FB against Common sense and try to discredit Ford in the process.

People on wheels FB vent their anger. People on Car forums go bolistic.

Motoring publish their own Dyno Results. People say yep that's about what we thought. Wheels looks even more stupider and are now in total damage control.

Ford fans everywhere rejoice because the GTF is officially Crowned Australia's Most Powerful Car.

Lawyers are appointed and Ford sue and the truth comes out that Holden and Wheels are in bed together. Ford wins court case, wheels carnt pay, receivers come in, wheels jurnos get new jobs on hsv assembly line and Wheels mag is wound up.

And all this happened because Wheels would not wait to get a second opinion.
