A quick question regarding Amsoil. I ordered it via their website and got what they recommended. I noticed looking at their product they recommend the same oil whether its an open diff or limited slip, and says no additives required. Do you still need the "friction modifier" that Ford recommends?

I wouldn't recommend adding friction modifier to an oil that already says it has the friction modifier. I'm running the Amsoil without added FM. Before I did have extra friction modifier in the previous fill, and the differential would play stupid if a wheel was in the air(like pulling into a driveway that would cause one of the rear wheels to lift) and it would slip until I revved the engine high enough to get it to engage which was pretty sketchy. But now it acts pretty normal and engages when it's needed quickly.
