Hello.

I have a 2022 EB with the base 9 speaker, non shaker. I own the following equipment and would like it installed professionally.

Focal RSE-165: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_091RSE165/Focal-RSE-165.html
Focal RSX-165: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_091RCX165/Focal-RCX-165.html
Pioneer GM-DX975: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130GMDX975/Pioneer-GM-DX975.html
JL Audio CP110LG-TW1-2: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13693323/JL-Audio-CP110LG-TW1-2.html

I'd like the speakers to be on the amp and I'd like to retain the head unit/steering wheel controls.

I've been quoted about $1k plus they said I needed a line out converter.

1. Would a harness be a better idea than the LOC, if so is there a recommended one for this setup?

2. Is that quote reasonable in price?

3. I assume the second set of speakers in the doors are mids, should I have them leave them? Or should I get replacements? Not sure if the amp could handle the extras.

4. Any fitment issues/adapters I should get?

Thank you for your advice

You got a 9-speaker setup.
This means your ACM is sending a low-level 4V max BTL signal to the stock amplifier.
This means you don't need a LOC, but a T-harness to get the signals.
Best option by far is the idatalink harness for your model year that integrates into the stock amplifier connectors. It's even much cheaper than any LOC of decent quality available.
With the idatalink harness you don't even need to rewire your doors as the harness has open wires to integrate into the stock speaker wiring.
You even have constant and switched 12V, ground and 6V-remote turn on in this harness to integrate a PAC-Audio TR7 to switch it to a 12V remote turn-on.

Can it be easier than this? Don't think so.

With a 5 channel amp you're still missing two amplified channels for the midrange speakers in the door though. So either disconnect them or think about getting an additional small (think about 2x60 Watts or something like this) 2channel amp to drive them.
In this case i also would strongly recommend a DSP to setup the system.

^what he said. You could also run this setup on an 8 channel. Two to run your front stage mids and tweets, two for your front 6.5s, two for rear stage and bridge the last two for sub. None of this will be active but that’s probably also your best bet to power all speakers and have decent sound. If you want to retain the front 3-way setup you’re gonna spend a bit more. I myself am running 3 amps.
