Where is the wire that shuts off the amp when the radio goes off? Do I need to tap in to the back of the head unit or can I find it by the rear speakers? I have a GT premium with the shaker system (not shaker pro)

I ran a wire to the fuse box in the passenger side kick pannel.

in the wire harness that goes from the trunk area to the trunk lid there is a blue/white wire that can be used as a remote on signal for an amp

I used this wire today. Works fine. The only problem I have come across is that particular wire is only hot when the engine is running apparently. When you kill the engine, and the radio stays on before you open the door, my sub shuts off with the engine. It's fine with me, as I don't plan on sitting in the car and jamming out with the engine off anyway, but just wanted to throw that out there.

If you're using a LOC, you do not hook the remote wire from the amp to the remote wire on the LOC. Run the remote amp wire directly to the blue with white. Also, the 15mm bolt between the seats will need to be sanded down for a good ground. I ran the LOC power wire and ground to the amp.

I'm so glad you posted this! I had both remote wires hooked up and had major issues. Thank goodness you posted this! I was about to lose my mind!

I'm afraid you shorted it.

Mine has been working flawlessly.
