Hi everyone,

First post here. Is there a "what did you pay" thread somewhere?

I'm trying to get a better understanding of what individuals are paying for 2018/2019 Ecoboosts, however I haven't stumbled upon this info. Mustang prices seem to vary drastically by region. For example, up here in Minnesota there's little to no negotiations at our 4-6 major Ford dealers. It would be cheaper to fly to Florida, spend a week there, and drive back...and you'd still pocket $2K+, maybe more!

Thank you!

I had a friend do this using BMW's European Delivery program (they give you a discount, 30 day temporary registration, and instructions on where to drop it off with the shipper when you're done with it). Flew to Munich, spent one night in a hotel, picked the car up at the factory, dropped it at the shipper, and flew home same day. Saved about $3500 on the car, less $1000 for the flights and hotel. We used the same program, but used the savings to pay for the flights and hotels while we went for a 7-day vacation.

If there's that great a price difference, you could buy one via the internet and just have them ship it to you via a 3rd party carrier (say, $1500). When my daughter moved to CA, I negotiated a new car for her with a dealer out there. We did all the paperwork via FedEx. She flew out one day, and the dealer's courtesy car picked her up at her apartment the next day, drove her to the lot, and handed her the keys to her new car.
