16 tech pack, magnetic with the blue stripes. Negotiated for quite awhile. They offered a fair number for my trade and they were willing to drop the adm they were asking from $5000 to $2500. The salesman said the owner didn't want any museum pieces on the showroom floor anymore, seems they've had it for four months.

I couldn't get past the thought in the back of my mind about the lack of a trans cooler and some of the body panels weren't fit very well. I'm sleeping on it, but my gut is telling me to wait till the end of November and try to buy a 17.

Smart choice, i'd try for the '17. With some time searching you should be able to find someone to dropship one for MSRP. Good luck and keep up the search

Buying a '17 is a good move. There will be second-hand museum pieces and 16 tech packs are only going to keep coming down in price. Wait a few months.

I'd offer MSRP. If you aren't going to track it, you probably won't have any issues. See if they will pay for the Ford sanctioned cooler retrofit when it is released.

Sure, you are better off with a '17, but do you think you are going to get one at MSRP or close?

I would not buy it for less than Sticker.....the 16 Tech will always be a "flawed" car in at least some people's mind.

$2500 is still to high. I paid 1k over for my 16 but made that up in the trade so it evened out. They are impossible to find in my area for MSRP so I jumped. Body panels were the same as my 15 GT. It is what it is. Doesn't look like they're stepping up their QC at the plant, and the 350's are on the same line. I doubt the 17's will be any better.

My 15 GT has beautiful panel fit. The GT350 not so much. I was surprised to see how crappy they put that car together.

I would definitely be looking to get close to MSRP on a 16' Tech, $5k over sounds like they would be willing to come down if you were ready to make a deal there and then.

If it was the car you wanted, I'd go in guns blazing and say I'm here with my pocket book ready to write you guys a check. You want the car sold for over MSRP? I'll give you $1k over and sign now. See if they bite.

All things considered, I'd rather hold out for a deal on a 17'.

Me crazy, and I can't help myself
there's one parked on a dealership floor here right now that is a 2017 LB that you could probably get for 5K over, after a short conversation they came down from 10 to 7.5 if you were serious i'm sure they would do 5K

If you're not trackin it and you like the color, an msrp offer is as high as i would go. No need to pay ADM for a 16 or a 17. JMO. Good luck with your decision.

I looked last weekend and there were multiple msrp deals on ebay for new 2016s and tons for 2kish over msrp.

I looked yesterday and there was a 2017 grabber blue up for 5k over msrp or best offer...

Don't pay over MSRP for a 16.
