OK, forgive the "click bait" title........although true, there are no real details. However......

At least there's confirmation there will be an all new Mustang! This information was released as part of the UAW agreement and forms part of $6 Billion investment to create/retain 8000 jobs (given the uncertainty around Camaro's future, we shouldn't take anything for granted, so seeing this in print is good news to me!)

Flat Rock Assembly Plant — $250 million investment

  • All new Mustang, including derivatives
  • Lincoln Continental will continue through its product lifecycle.

Sweet. Some interesting engine choices on that list.

Here I was thinking you bought a new car...either way, this is an interesting bit of info. Still many questions remain: S650? Explorer platform? Lighter, or generation change related weight gain?
Will it have a V8? A twin turbo V6? Will is be offered with a DCT? A Tremec? How about AWD? A Heads-up display? A 12” LCD dashboard display?

Oh, the excitement of a “new” Mustang. Let the posts begin............

Indeed.......we still know nothing for sure, just lots of assumptions. Hopefully info will start to trickle out soon. I know Ford will be extremely busy with the '21 F150, Mach E, Bronco, Baby Bronco etc and any info on what's next for Mustang has been deathly quiet.

For what its worth, I still think "all new" means they'll call it S650.........and I'm sure it'll utilise parts of the new Explorer/Aviator platform (CD6). I'm amazed no-one has crawled underneath an Explorer to see just how much it currently shares with S550 as I bet there's bits of it under there......"all new" is always open to interpretation :)

Hopefully more information will leak soon!

“Derivatives”? Here we go.........

4 door sedan, 5 door hatchback, station wagon, shooting brake, CUV, SUV, pickup truck.

Discuss........
Hybrid. But............it's been stated Mustang will become a brand, so who knows.

I’m fine with a hybrid that gets 35+ mpg and matches or exceeds current V8 performance. Admittedly, it’ll be hard to give up the exhaust and engine sounds of a V8, but still tempting.

The rumour is the hybrid will still retain the V8.......best of both worlds!

A mustang is a performance vehicle.
ICE will assist the Mustang performance in helping accelerate the car.
smaller v8 w/ice will be mach 1
2.3 EB w/ice will be SV0

My predictions^ & hopes.
re:(?)
An 2.3EB with ICE will accelerate as fast as adhesion will allow...
A 4.8 NA with ICE will accelerate farther over a greater distance and longer pulls of capacitance.

Makes sense to me, anyone?

Question is when.

GT500 and GT350 will both be gone I assume once the all new Mustang is here.

Well......the UAW contract is for 4 years......so late 2023 should be the latest we see it. I still think '23MY for "all new (S650)".......with a very light refresh for the '21MY (S550) (assuming we see spyshots by late winter)

The would make sense. My only reservation is with the 4.8 V8. Those rumors were put to bed when it was outlined the 4.8 was planned, but the 5.0 Gen 3 met fuel economy/emissions targets so the 4.8 wasn't progressed. That's not to say it can't or won't be revisited in the future. But I can't see a new V8 purely for the hybrid cars......if its coming, it'd be across the board. Just my 2c

ICE means internal combustion engine. I think you meant hybrid instead of ICE, something like:
2.3EB with hybrid.
