All 2015+ Mustang S550 renders / chops compilation

Cool comparison there. Looks like a plausible progression of the design to me.

I agree with above that if a design like this were being considered, Ford would reject it for much the same reasons as the Jenner. And I think Ford could do worse with either the 2nd or 3rd option.

Personally would like them to go the "Rambo" route and give us a ballsy redesign, but I think they will just end up saving it for a special edition.
Yep the sn95 cobra looks very similar to the rambo concept they were considering.

Now that we're getting 3 different trims I think it makes a lot of sense to create more separation style-wise between them instead of having the base and base upgrade look the same. Something like the differences in the concepts above would work.

I like the saleen render for its aggressive kit, but that orange one is the only one with the right proportions for a Mustang.
Yup the middle and bottom renders are both chops of the Evos with little change to the overall dimensions. The Evos has a C-platform length (Focus) and C/D-platform width (Fusion). It won't look right no matter what heritage elements are added if you don't get the Mustang proportions right.

Yea if I had better rendering skillzz I would've lengthened the hood but styling wise those bottom 2 looked the closest to the "next step" of the first render which is a much cleaner design.

I agree the Saleen one with the big side scoop and lower front spoiler lip would make more sense as a SE and not something they would produce in volume. I would bet the S550 will be the same.... hockey stick on the side for the standard cars and bigger scoop for the limited productions.

A longer hood version of that 2nd render is kinda like the car and driver render. Still all seem to be some modification of the Evos with its trapezoid grill and those headlights.

I've heard the Top Speed photo shop is pretty accurate to what we will see.

Here is what I was told by someone who has seen a photo of it:

"That orange car in the group of six near the top of the page looks really close. Doesn't really matter we'll all know in a few months anyway. I though the photos I saw were a bit more aggressive but they could have been purposefully misleading even though I doubt it considering where they came from."

That is what I thought. There is a white one to around here that is pretty much like the orange one. I really believe that is the car.

That trapezoid grille and slender lights actually was seen before the Evos. Remember the mad max interceptor concept from Ford Australia? Announced March 2011/debuted July 2011. Evos was shown at the end of August 2011.

You mean this one. It's just another rendering, not the actual car. I suspect it's close. Real close. Just add a bit more edge, a bit more aggression.........

I didnt realize that now-familiar grille and headlights was on the mad max concepts. In all seriousness, that "brookliner" one could make a pretty mean looking mustang if they brought it back to reality with some changes.

All three (EVOS, and the Fury Twin's) are REJECTED Mustang concepts. These cars were drawn up before Rob left Ford. They belong to Ford...

Remember when Ford stated they were letting design teams across the world take a shot at the S550?

The EVOS was the reject from Ford Europe built in Cologne, Germany. It was a loved design so it was used on the Fusion.

The Fury Twin's were Ford Australia's entry and, just so happens, could be in the Madd Maxx movie.

The Asian looking renders could be... from Asia and rejected which is why we have been shown it again, and again so Ford knows we hate it..

We are missing Ford US's entry and I'm guessing... It took only the best design cues from ALL 4 concepts and used fan art to hone the design.

So, the camo'd S550 is something we haven't seen yet AND, is "far more visually impressive than all designs previously posted."

Edit: " " added...

Damn really? I had no idea the Evos was from Ford Europe... They let Ford Europe create the new design direction for the whole company? I mean it's a good looking concept and I guess it makes sense now how European the Evos looks, but still..... feels wrong.

Yes sir, thePill is correct. At least to the extent that it came from the Cologne studio. I can't speak to the part about it being a rejected s550 design. Had not heard about that.

The Cologne studio, one of 8 Ford design studios worldwide, are the primary designers of the Evos concept. Of course part of OneFord is that these global teams work much more closely now so they had input from the entire design team.

You can see the Evos featured in this video from Ford showcasing the design studio.

Also notice how the grille here is different than the honeycomb one we saw in Frankfurt (below). Much more Fusion-like here.
