Hi all. I just put new tires on the car. Kept them stock PP1 255/275 40/19. Do any of you get an alignment after you change the tires? I have 28K on the car and have never done one. There is no pull to either side but I was thinking of doing it just to make sure. It is cheap so why not. Thanks.

Don't need an alignment just because you changed tires - they have nothing to do with the alignment. You may need because it is off but most of the time tire places try to sell alignment because they want to make money and will only look to make sure it is within spec.

They talked my wife into one years ago and she ended up with steering wheel not straight while wheels were (in a Highlander).

Good to know. Thanks. I haven't done an alignment in my cars in 20 years.

Tires won't change the alignment, but its a good idea to have the alignment checked once every two years (approximately) or once every tire change.

Toe tends to drift over time (miles), so if you want your tires to last and you want the handling to be predictable, getting the toe checked and corrected will do that. Camber probably won't change, but if you've never had it checked, the factory alignments are usually not so great.

If you race or you look for precise handling, then go for it! Otherwise, I would not waste my bucks!

ESPECIALLY if the tires are wearing great and you think it drives great...don’t touch it. I’ve got a a scenario now where mine wears tires soooo good and handles great, I’m scared to even start any suspension projects just cause I don’t want to dick up a good thing, LOL.
