air intake

so at this point...since i've gone to a bullitt grille and cai, new intercooler...can i open this grille up a little on the upper intake and maybe the lower part of the bottom grille... i've read ford designed the intakes but since i changed the grille doesn't all that go out the window?

I have a Billit open grill, just put a metal mesh screen behind for rocks etc.
Had a JLT open box CAI and have had no tuning or overheating problems if that's what you're asking
