I've been offered a set of the 50 year anniversary 19" wheels in really good shape and a set of Pirelli Sottozero series 2 with less than 5k miles for a good price. Thinking about buying them and plastidiping the wheels black. I have a yellow GTPP so want to stay with the black accent theme. For $1,250, do you guys think it's a good deal?
Anybody with experience with these tires on the snow? I live in Iowa so we get plenty of white stuff. Not too hilly at least, but I plan to drive the car whenever its not too deep to be plowing with my low car.

Pics coming soon!

That's my issue as well. For me, Ford recommended the GT PP wheels, so I ended up springing for 4 of the front GT PP Nickel-Luster wheels (This sort:)

As for tyres, I went for the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 in 255/40/19 all round. Nordic tyre for Nordic winters, you know? Iowa's pretty far north, I'm not sure if you have the same weather your neighbors in Minnesota and Wisconsin have, but if you do, you might look for something like the Hakka instead. Those things decimate all on snow and ice.

If the wheels fit over the brakes then it's a good deal for sure.
