How is it that I can be disable advance trac and be in snow/wet mode at the same time? Don't those two preclude each other?

If I hold up on the traction control toggle it'll pop up and say advance trac disabled. If I then switch the drive mode it will take away the traction control icon on the dash and take it out of advance trac. However, if I first select my drive mode (including wet/snow) and then hold up on the traction control toggle it will pop up and again tell me advance trac disabled, but I will retain the snow/wet mode icon alongside the traction control off icon.

Wouldn't advance trac being off preclude the parameters of any drive mode?

I have a base model, so no toggles, but taking off the Advance trak is the first thing I do after starting my car!

No, drive mode also affects throttle mapping. Yea you wouldn't have any traction control or stability control but you would have a lot softer of a throttle
